AAC Evaluations
What is AAC?
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) refers to all forms of communication that support or replace spoken or written language.
One of the most common types of high-tech AAC is the speech-generating device (SGD), which gives individuals with communication challenges a way to express themselves and engage with others.
Benefits of AAC:
AAC Can:
Enhance communication and social connection
Promote greater independence in daily life
Encourage active participation in group settings
Reduce frustration and support overall well-being
